Hatasu Temple No. 1 Daughters of the Nile held a Stated Session at 7:00 P.M. in the Red Ballroom at the Nile Shrine Center on Monday, April 10, 2023. The session was opened in ritualistic form, with 44 members present.

Barbara Grobler, Queen welcomed and thanked everyone for attending the April Session.

Minutes of the March 13, 2023, session and 110th Installation of Hatasu Temple Officers were read by Kathy Ramich, P.Q., Pr. Recorder and corrected as read.

Communications:  A letter from Supreme Princess Royal Patty Larimore was read. Communications from Dakota Burnham who is running for Miss Job’s Daughter Washington was read.

Unfinished Business: Calendar corrections-April 13th-Spring Basket pick-up time 10:00am-12:00pm at the Nile. This is instead of the April 27th date that is printed. May 2nd Session Practice at 7pm in Red Room. September 17th-Bunco Party at 12:00pm at Wandering Creek Club House, Bothell. Originally this was listed as a practice. The Installation of Officers for Lady of the Keys-Pr. Merrilee Heydlauff and Pr. Musician-Pr. Valorie Hoffmeister was performed with Muriel Knapp, PSQ doing the obligation. Golf Tournament will be May 22, 2023, at Nile Golf and Country Club. Contact Pr. Lynn Haller, Pr. Royal to donate items and to volunteer. Spring Flower Basket Sale profit total was $611.00. Visitation reports to other Temples were given. Pr. Kim Newman, Pr. Badoura reported on the Raiseright fundraiser. The profit so far this year is $527.00. She will come early to the next meeting for anyone who needs help loading the app or understanding how it works & how easy it is.

New Business:

The memorial for Pr. Azile Swafford will be Monday, April 17, 2023, at 12:00pm at Bonny Watson, SeaTac, WA. A motion was made by Pr. Yvette Hunt to purchase a steamer for the Temple; later it was rescinded because Pr. Jean Pennington said she will purchase and donate a new steamer for Hatasu Temple No. 1. Thank you, Pr. Jean, for your generous donation! Pr. Katie Harrington Savinski, Pr. Tirzah moved to purchase an ad for $100.00 in the Northwest Daze Program. It was seconded and passed. Pr. Lynn Haller, Pr. Royal moved to purchase a Square Terminal for various fundraiser events in the amount of $300.00. It was seconded and passed. Pr. Lynn Haller, Pr. Royal announced the Plant tour Tuesday, May 2nd at 11:00am. Please contact Pr. Lynn for further information. The Village Theatre Play, Hello, Dolly! was announced as a fun adventure for the Ladies of the Household to attend on July 30th at 1:00pm. The Alice E. Morris Fund will assist in helping subsidize the cost for each Hatasu Temple member. Queen Barbara announced that there are thirteen members on the Queen’s Charity List.
