Just not into Sewing or Quilting? Here’s another way to help the kids at the Portland Hospital: Child Life Specialists at the Portland hospital are available to reduce the stresses associated with staying in the hospital and to teach patients and families coping skills through offering opportunities to play, learn and interact with others in an emotionally and socially safe environment. Attached is a wish list of materials they have requested. I’m collecting them at our Sessions and will drive them down to Portland periodically – look for my display in the lobby. And remember… gift cards (or checks to buy gift cards) are ALWAYS appreciated by our Honolulu Hospital.
